Works in the protection zone of the Old City of Talas

1. This order applies to the protection zone of the Köhne Diz citadel and the Old City of Talas (Reg. No. 97/005) and to the registered monuments within it.

2. Without approval owners may repair plaster, doors and windows in the same form and materials, renew clay roofs and whitewash, and carry out work inside a building that does not touch its walls.

3. The Service's written approval on form HPS-3, with drawings, is needed for extra storeys, new openings in street walls, roofs in sheet metal, demolition, new buildings, signs and satellite dishes on street fronts, and for digging deeper than one metre.

4. The Service answers within 30 days. Work done without approval is stopped and the owner is required to restore the previous state at his own cost.
