Order of the Service · 1 February 2011 · No. 3

Procedure for declaring and receiving finds (form HPS-5)

In force

1. This order applies to finds of church property made before 1992 under the 2010 amendment to the heritage ordinance, and to other archaeological finds.

2. A find is declared on form HPS-5 at the Service (14 Köhne Diz Street, Talas, office 3), at the Iyık Janyl office, or at any Gendarmerie post. The post gives the finder a receipt and passes the find and the form to the Service within three working days.

3. The ten days are counted from the day of the find to the day it is handed in or, if it cannot be moved, to the day it is reported. The place of the find must not be dug further.

4. The find is valued by the Service's valuation commission within sixty days. The finder receives a quarter of the valuation by bank transfer or at the Service's cash office. A finder who declares late, or who hands in a find taken by digging, receives nothing.

5. Church property is kept in the Service's store until it is claimed. Claims are decided under the ordinance or, in dispute, by the courts.
